SAN FRANCISCO RESIDENCE

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

Designed by Marmol Radziner, this single family residence is slated to sit atop one of the highest peaks in San Francisco. Spanning five floors with green roofs integrated at four of those levels, the building steps down with the grade of the street and steps back with the grade of the site.

Coordination involved shoring engineers, green roof specialists, structural engineers, MEP, amongst many others. Agency research was particularly heavy as San Francisco’s building code and design guidelines were navigated on this especially unique site within a special use district.
