This board-form concrete spa is one of the many buildings in larger Four Seasons Hotel Resort under construction in Cayo Largo, Puerto Rico. Marmol Radziner’s design utilizes ocean views to the north to create pockets of green exterior space amidst the spa amenity spaces. The Hammam spa building in the center of the courtyard grounds the surrounding treatment rooms, steam rooms, and saunas.

Numerous consultants are involved on this project including aquatic engineers, sauna and steam room specialists, lighting designers, and Hammam spa specialists. Coordinating this large team along with their specific equipment and building requirements was a unique aspect to the design process.
